Collection Management
Cecilia Dan Fine Art’s bespoke collection management services address all aspects of documentation, maintenance, care, and logistics of art collections. Regardless of scale of the collection, our clients benefit from the expertise and resources of professional art collection management.
The core of art collection management is a detailed inventory or collation of information into a database, providing a convenient and accessible overview with all pertinent documentation in one place. Working with collections large and small — often in excess of hundreds of objects — our office compiles records into digital entries, each containing object IDs, hi-res images, invoices, location data, and valuations. The database format provides streamlined tracking of current and deaccessioned artworks, with the client’s ability to access their collection data anytime, anywhere.
Working with an established network of trusted expert vendors, we make recommendations on and arrange fine art storage and shipping, archival framing and displays, installation, professional photography, conservation and restoration, and fine art insurance.
